at d parliament held on 21-12-09, the budget&finance committee alongside the entire house cleared ANGOLA hall of any form of financial infraction!. despite d current happenings in ur union, never loose faith...d integrity of some leaders are still intact. i'm so proud of the excos i've worked with; and most importantly, all angolans-present and past for the unflinching support for he past 15 months or thereabout. Ese pupo!!!

NIGERIA AT 49: THE WAY FORWARD
NIGERIA AT 49: THE WAY FORWARD
It is with mixed feelings that I congratulate all Nigerians on the 49th anniversary of our independence though there may be little reasons to roll out the drums aside our statehood despite all the bickering. Nigeria as a nation has come this far though crawling like a snail with numerous challenges, unnecessary interruption of military juntas. It is therefore with in depth, critical analysis brought about by the passion for change and zeal for a paradigm shift from the cage of mediocrity that has held our nation back for years that I propose the following way forwards for Nigeria as a country.
It is highly imperative at this historical epoch that a nationwide Value re-orientation should be embarked upon. An individualistic approach should be used in addressing the various socio-economic anomalies in our different families, communities, states and the nation at large. The average citizen must begin to understand what his/her actions or inactions portend for the entity called Nigeria.
It is in that same light that proper laws have to be made, existing ones strengthened and most importantly implemented to the letters across status, strata, class and ethnic divides-equality before the law which has been one of the bane of the nation in her 49 years of collective existence. By the time proper punishment is meted out to corrupt public officials, there is going to be drastic reduction in corrupt practices. Genuine electoral reforms are germane especially allowing independent candidacy in our electoral system.
This may be unpopular but it is long overdue in Nigeria. There is a need for social revolution here the masses come to play actively in the polity. It will also be recalled that some countries of the world taking the case of Ghana for instance where J.J Rawlings had to do with some notable but corrupt elites in Ghana. It is high time some elements left this world over atrocities committed to mankind and even against the collective interest of the nation. Having thoroughly reflected and concluded that change in our nation can come through value re-orientation, enforcing laws to the letters and instilling fears on the mind of the people, there is a need for a social revolution! Wiping out these set of individual will do a lot good for the nation and its future.
The challenges ahead for this nation are enormous, the statuo quo may be discouraging and indeed disheartening but I believe doing first things first, Nigeria is going to be great! Happy Independence celebrations!
